Q&A: Service Delivery Administrator (Haz)
Find out more about what it is like being a Service Delivery Administrator (Haz) at Axil below.
I’m Sophie and I’ve been at Axil for the past year. My role revolves around managing hazardous waste jobs from start to finish, handling customer queries, and keeping things organised on the admin front.
I was seeking a fresh challenge, and when I stumbled upon Axil’s values and job description. I love learning new things, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to dive into something entirely different.
One of my proudest moments was improving the induction process for Hazardous bookings. Despite being relatively new and lacking prior experience, I took the initiative to create induction guides. Management noticed, and it felt amazing to receive recognition.
How do I approach challenges? Head-on. I love finding solutions that benefit everyone. Overcoming obstacles fuels my motivation, and I’m always striving to be the best I can be in my role. Being organised is key for me, and I enjoy supporting my colleagues whenever I can.
Outside of work, you’ll find me sharing quality time with friends and family, indulging in music, exploring new places, and enjoying the thrills of Santa Pod Raceway.
If I could offer one piece of advice to my colleagues, it would be this: Try not to get too stressed, you can only do so much in the day. As long as you’ve done your best that’s good enough.
What stands out to me about Axil? It’s the people. The supportive, family-like atmosphere makes every day enjoyable. I appreciate how Axil values employee feedback and continually seeks ways to improve processes. Feeling appreciated and valued is what makes Axil truly special to me.
