Dom, previously at one of our pharmaceutical sites, and Karl, from the world of engines and automotive, recognised the potential in broadening their horizons by exploring each other’s roles. Fully supported by both management and clients, this move is more than just a change of scenery; it shows Axil’s dedication to encouraging exploration and career development.
The trial started with Dom and Karl moving roles, with the clear goal of evaluating how each team member adapts to the challenges of a different site. And it couldn’t be going better! They have not only embraced their new environments but are also make significant positive contributions. Getting to know new teams, how they work and understanding the needs of our clients.
Dom, now the Senior Supervisor, leads shifts and supports our Site Manager, showing that a fresh perspective can lead to improved processes and enhanced collaboration.
Karl, overseeing a top-tier Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) site, is using his skills to lead efforts to optimise site processes and bring about positive change. His commitment to supporting customers and driving continuous improvement reflects Axil’s values – innovation, teamwork, and excellence.
Karl said: “The job swap has been a breath of fresh air for me and a welcome challenge to overcome. I believe that, with the support of our management teams, we have not only adapted but now completely own the roles bringing our own touches to them.
