Waste Management Results
Manufacturing (Household Appliances) Stock Recovery Driving Cost Savings
£77,000 annualised saving
Stock recovered back into inventory
Reduced disposal of usable items
The Challenge
Our customer, a global household appliance manufacturer, was incorrectly scrapping usable components and finished stock. This led to avoidable waste, increased procurement costs, and loss of recoverable materials. In some cases, engineer-returned items were not being correctly reintroduced into inventory.
The Approach
The Axil on-site team identified usable and unused items within waste streams and worked with engineers and stores teams to recover and return materials to inventory. This improved visibility of material flow and strengthened control over stock management and disposal decisions.
